Post-Doc Position

The University of Konstanz, with its Institutional Strategy to promote Top-Level Research, has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.

The Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Konstanz in Germany is seeking applications for a Post-Doc Position in the area of data analysis and visualization
(Prof. Keim).

The full-time position is available as soon as possible and granted only for a limited period.

In principle, this position can be divided into two half-time positions.

We are searching for motivated employees with a Ph.D in computer science as well as knowledge in the area of data analysis and/or visualization. The job responsibilities include research and organization within the DFG strategic research initiative “Scalable Visual Analytics”.

The responsibilities of the PostDoc researcher include independent research as well as the scientific coordination of the strategic research initiative (SPP) in close cooperation with the program committee. It is expected that the successful candidate will increase the international visibility and interdisciplinary collaborations of the SPP. Candidates should have experience in the areas data analysis and visualization and should be willing to face the challenges of scientific work in interesting data analysis and visualization projects.

The classification is determined by the regulations of TV-L (depending on personal prerequisites up to salary scale 14).
